What is this event

A live zone-control minigame. A glowing "hill" zone appears somewhere on the arena - stand inside it to bank time toward rewards. The zone relocates every 10–15 seconds, so you'll be on the move the whole round.

When can you play it

King of the Hill is part of the event rotation. Every 2 hours (every hour on Fridays) one event is picked at random, and when it's King of the Hill's turn registration opens for 3 minutes. Each round lasts 5 minutes. This will be announced in the game chat and in the Discord channel #events.

How do you play it

Talk to the Event NPC in Free Market, or use @joinevent, within the registration window. Once the round starts, everyone is placed together in the arena.

• Stand inside the glowing zone to bank "hill time" - any number of players can share the zone at once.
• Your banked seconds are shown on your chalkboard while you're in the zone.
• When the zone moves, chase it! Only time spent inside the zone counts.
• Everyone moves at the same speed during the round, so speed gear gives no advantage.

Note: only one character per IP can join each round.

What are the rewards

Hill time converts into Event Points the moment you reach each milestone:

• 31 seconds → 1 Event Point
• 91 seconds → 2 Event Points
• 151 seconds → 3 Event Points
• 210 seconds → 4 Event Points (max)

Whoever banks the most hill time overall gets +1 bonus Event Point and a shout-out to the whole server. Spend your Event Points at @epshop.
